Hello and thank you for taking time to review some of my background. I am an Atlanta native who completed his education across Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. I am also the product of South Korean immigrants who arrived in America in the 1970s. Following the American dream, my parents worked to become an engineer and an actuary, putting 3 Korean American boys through school.
I have always maintained a positive and patient centered approach, and earned recognition such as Resident Intern of the year, Eagle award for community service, and the role of Chief resident.
Medical research and education has been an important part of my experiences, and I have completed several long term research projects as well as co-authored a number of journal articles and a couple textbook chapters.
My experience in dermatologic surgery, Mohs surgery, and reconstruction is extensive with over 1,400 cases completed during my training alone. My journey to Houston, TX was by way of Dr. Leonard H. Goldberg MD, FRCP. Under his tutelage as well as that of Dr Arash Asadi MD, I was provided me with an unparalleled and comprehensive training in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction, with an additional emphasis on patient empathy, and providing the best patient experience possible.
My peers would describe me as a down-to-earth guy, and I am blessed with a wonderful 3 year old son with my wife who works as a pharmacist. I also have a number of outside interests and hobbies that include: rock climbing, working on cars, craft beers, ethnic foods, building computers, and cryptocurrencies.
I very much appreciate your time, and look forward to serving you to the best of my abilities!
