One of our patients recently shared his life-saving cancer story with MD Anderson Cancer Center thanks to a quick diagnosis received at DermSurgery Associates in Houston.
During a visit with Ming Jih, MD, PhD, FAAD, she noticed a soft tissue mass on his neck and sent him to a colleague in our office that same day. Arash Kimyai-Asadi, MD, FAAD excised the mass that same day and was able to give the patient a diagnosis.
Thanks to the quick thinking actions of Dr. Ming Jih and Dr. Arash Kimyai-Asadi, their patient, Dr. Meltzer, had a definitive diagnosis and was able to initiate treatment. He endured chemotherapy treatments for leukemia at MD Anderson Cancer Center and is now in remission, four years after his initial diagnosis.
