What causes Cellulite?
A condition caused when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin. It causes a dimpled look to the skin or lumpy appearance. Cellulite has also been called orange-peel skin; cottage cheese skin; hail damage; and mattress phenomenon.
Men and women alike can develop cellulite but it is more common in women. At least 80-90% of women might experience it in their lifetime.
There are many treatments out for cellulite and none are guaranteed. Some work better than others such as radio-frequency therapy; liposuction; massages; and creams. Of course, all of these treatments are not medically necessary but a dermatologist can help you decide which one is right for you.
A dermatologist can also answer your questions and concerns regarding effectiveness.
